College Football Week 2 Reaction & Recap

Gary and Chris react to and recap College Football's Week 2 games, and discuss these topics:

[2:22] how our picks are doing against other college football media personalities (our picks have been bad, but so have everyone else's)

[3:54] LSU 45 Texas 38 – Joe Burrow for Heisman? LSU's offense is pretty freaking awesome.

[10:24] Michigan 24 Army 21 (2 OT) – what's up with Gattis's offense? Harbaugh's bunch doesn't look comfortable.

[17:34] Maryland 63 Syracuse 20 – ruined College Gameday for 'Cuse, Mike Locksley's bunch is for real

[19:24] 2nd year coaches in trouble – BYU 29 Tennessee 26, San Diego St 23 UCLA 14, Ole Miss 31 Arkansas 14, Florida St 45 ULM 45-44 in OT

[33:49] Clemson 24 Texas A&M 10 – Jimbo covers, Clemson made it look easy, how bad does Clemson's schedule look after Syracuse got their doors blown off?

[36:28] Colorado 34 Nebraska 31 OT – Huskers are who we thought they were, and Mel Tucker has the most underrated QB in the country

[38:48] North Carolina 28 Miami 25 – Mack Brown now 2-0 vs his former Texas defensive coordinators / games at Wake Forest & vs App St before Clemson visits

[41:30] USC 45 Stanford 20 – Clay Helton appears safe, at least until they visit Provo next week, and what's wrong with Stanford?

[43:16] Ohio St Cincinnati – either Cinci isn't as good as we though, or Ohio St is freaking elite.

[45:34] Wisconsin Central Michigan – Wisc has outscored USF & CMU 110-0 this year, allowed 58 total yards vs CMU, allowed only 157 yds to USF, and their QB is actually really efficient

[49:59] Pac 12 after dark did NOT disappoint Saturday night. Minnesota beat Fresno St in OT, Hawaii held Oregon St scoreless in the 2nd half, and Cal beat Washington after a nearly 3 hour weather delay.

Gary Segars

Gary began his first website in 1998 as a sophomore in high school, writing reviews of cds and live shows in the Memphis area. He became editor of his college newspaper, then moved towards a career in music. He started the infamous MemphisTider.com blog during the 2006 football season, and was lucky enough to get into blogging just before the coaching search that landed Nick Saban at Alabama. The month and a half long coaching search netted his site, which was known for tracking airplanes, over 1 million hits in less than 90 days. The website introduced Gary to tons of new friends, including Nico and Todd, who had just started the site RollBamaRoll.com.After diving into more than just Alabama news, Gary started up his first installment of WinningCuresEverything.com in 2012. After keeping the site quiet for a while, it was started back up in April 2016. Gary then joined forces with high school friend Chris Giannini and began a podcast during the 2016 football season that runs at least 2 times a week, focusing on college football, NFL football, and sports wagering, and diving into other sports and pop-culture topics.E-mail: gary@winningcureseverything.com Twitter: @GaryWCE
