The fellas are getting ready for Super Bowl 52 on Wednesday night’s show.

– Alex Smith is traded from the Chiefs to the Redskins, and the guys bring in Makennon Doren, new writer for the site, to talk about Smith, Kirk Cousins, and all the dominoes that will fall surrounding the deal.

– FOX paid $660M to the NFL for the rights to broadcast 11 Thursday Night Football games every season for the next 5 years. Gary and Chris have questions… like, does Joe Buck pull double duty? Is Troy Aikman good? What about Jay Cutler in the booth? Are they going to put these games on FS1?

Finally, the guys jump into Super Bowl 52 talk.

– Prop bets are out – Pink is an Eagles fan, so one of the props is about whether or not she will wear an Eagles hat, or shout “Go Eagles,” etc. Justin Timberlake is the halftime entertainment. How many times will they bring up the Janet Jackson incident from 14 years ago? Would the internet blow up if he brought out Janet for the halftime show?

– Tom Brady revealed his “pump-up” music for before games, so the guys talk about what their hype music would be, and discuss why Tom listens to what he does.

– The guys go over the numbers for both teams, including turnover margin, yards per play, and betting trends, etc.

– How will Belichick and the Pats defend the Eagles RPO (Run Pass Option)? USA Today has a great article about how Belichick could call on Nick Saban to find a way to defend it.

– Gary and Chris end the podcast with their picks for the game.

Gary Segars

Gary began his first website in 1998 as a sophomore in high school, writing reviews of cds and live shows in the Memphis area. He became editor of his college newspaper, then moved towards a career in music. He started the infamous MemphisTider.com blog during the 2006 football season, and was lucky enough to get into blogging just before the coaching search that landed Nick Saban at Alabama. The month and a half long coaching search netted his site, which was known for tracking airplanes, over 1 million hits in less than 90 days. The website introduced Gary to tons of new friends, including Nico and Todd, who had just started the site RollBamaRoll.com.After diving into more than just Alabama news, Gary started up his first installment of WinningCuresEverything.com in 2012. After keeping the site quiet for a while, it was started back up in April 2016. Gary then joined forces with high school friend Chris Giannini and began a podcast during the 2016 football season that runs at least 2 times a week, focusing on college football, NFL football, and sports wagering, and diving into other sports and pop-culture topics.E-mail: gary@winningcureseverything.com Twitter: @GaryWCE
