The Monday Rewind: Nov 14, 2016

Our gambling picks were ok this weekend, not so much in the NFL, but we were winners again in college football, and that’s where we’ve been strongest all year.  SEC Fantasy picks are going to come down to the last 2 weeks of the regular season, and we’re rolling right along on that.  I’ve won 5 weeks, Chris has won 6.  Whoever hits 7 wins.

After a crazy weekend of chaos in college football… at least we know where we stand with gambling!

7-on-7 Head-to-Head

In head to head on the biggest games of the weekend, we both pushed on the Minnesota game, and I had the lead after college football Saturday, but my NFL picks were atrocious and cost me the winning week.    My current record in the biggest games, against the spread, sits at 40-36-3, while Chris sits at 29-47-3 on the season, 18 games below .500, and only 3 losses away from his 50th for the season.

College Football gambling picks

I was able to lock up a winning weekend with Washington St’s late night blowout of Cal… but my week was nothing compared to Chris, who was able to grab the backdoor cover with Kentucky early on, had West Virginia not give up a TD on the last play of the game to beat Texas, and then had 2 blowouts.  Chris, currently, is 7-2 in his last 9 CFB picks in the last 2 weeks, and he’s absolutely on a roll.  I’m now at 30-23-2, while Chris is now 26-17-1 in our college bets.

NFL gambling picks

Like we stated last week, NFL odds have been extremely difficult to figure out this year, and our woes continued this week.  Looking at next week’s lines, we feel a little bit better about this coming week than we did this week.  Chris is now sitting at 14-17-2, and I fell further behind .500 with an 0-2 week, bringing me to 8-13-2.

Overall, I’m sitting at 38-36-4 in gambling, while Chris is at 40-34-3 (with a canceled LSU/Florida pick back on Oct 8th).

SEC Fantasy picks

We’ve at least gotten down to the last 2 weeks.  After winning this week with the lowest scores we’ve ever had, I’ve got to win the next 2 weeks, and Chris has to win just one to have a winning record for the year.

Gary began his first website in 1998 as a sophomore in high school, writing reviews of cds and live shows in the Memphis area. He became editor of his college newspaper, then moved towards a career in music. He started the infamous MemphisTider.com blog during the 2006 football season, and was lucky enough to get into blogging just before the coaching search that landed Nick Saban at Alabama. The month and a half long coaching search netted his site, which was known for tracking airplanes, over 1 million hits in less than 90 days. The website introduced Gary to tons of new friends, including Nico and Todd, who had just started the site RollBamaRoll.com.After diving into more than just Alabama news, Gary started up his first installment of WinningCuresEverything.com in 2012. After keeping the site quiet for a while, it was started back up in April 2016. Gary then joined forces with high school friend Chris Giannini and began a podcast during the 2016 football season that runs at least 2 times a week, focusing on college football, NFL football, and sports wagering, and diving into other sports and pop-culture topics.E-mail: gary@winningcureseverything.com Twitter: @GaryWCE
