The Monday Rewind: Nov 7th, 2016

Could’ve had a better week on the picks… but we did ok!  We’re maintaining steady over .500 total.  See how we did this past weekend…

7-on-7 Head-to-Head

In head to head on the biggest games of the weekend, I beat out Chris again with a 4-3 record to his 3-4.  My current record in the biggest games, against the spread, sits at 37-33-2, while Chris sits at 26-44-2 on the season, 18 games below .500.

College Football gambling picks

My gambling picks had a losing weekend for the first time in 4 weeks, which is pretty crazy, and only my 3rd losing weekend in 10 weeks.  We’re still up on the season.  Chris went 3-1, and had Nebraska’s QB not gotten hurt against Ohio St, that could have been a way different ballgame.

NFL gambling picks

Neither of us has been great at NFL this season, but we finally came out on top this weekend, with my first undefeated betting weekend in NFL, and Chris went 2-1.  Our records are still both below .500, but we’re getting close to figuring out things, and look to eventually break through and finish above .500.

SEC Fantasy picks

I broke the streak for one week, but Chris took this week with a vengeance.  Not much more to say about it – my guys didn’t come through for anything.  I need to win the last 3 to beat Chris for the year.  Not looking good… but this is where champions are made.

Gary Segars

Gary began his first website in 1998 as a sophomore in high school, writing reviews of cds and live shows in the Memphis area. He became editor of his college newspaper, then moved towards a career in music. He started the infamous MemphisTider.com blog during the 2006 football season, and was lucky enough to get into blogging just before the coaching search that landed Nick Saban at Alabama. The month and a half long coaching search netted his site, which was known for tracking airplanes, over 1 million hits in less than 90 days. The website introduced Gary to tons of new friends, including Nico and Todd, who had just started the site RollBamaRoll.com.After diving into more than just Alabama news, Gary started up his first installment of WinningCuresEverything.com in 2012. After keeping the site quiet for a while, it was started back up in April 2016. Gary then joined forces with high school friend Chris Giannini and began a podcast during the 2016 football season that runs at least 2 times a week, focusing on college football, NFL football, and sports wagering, and diving into other sports and pop-culture topics.E-mail: gary@winningcureseverything.com Twitter: @GaryWCE
