Things You Should Know: Friday, March 31st, 2017

There is so much information the media throws at people every week, so at least once a week, we try to slim things down and tell you exactly what you SHOULD be reading and listening to.  Along with hot girls that you may not know about.

Article You Should Read:

Dan Wolken from USA Today spent some time with Virginia Tech coach (former Marquette coach) Buzz Williams and discussed how the Hokies have invested fully in making sure their basketball program is successful.  It’s paid off, as Williams took VT to the NCAA Tournament this year for the first time since 2007, only the 2nd time since 1996, and only the 9th time in their entire history.  While the rest of the world is all over Frank Martin, Buzz Williams could be the next guy that leads an unknown on an unlikely Final Four run someday soon.

Podcast You Should Listen To:

Clay Travis had FAU coach and former Alabama offensive coordinator, USC head coach, Tennessee head coach, and Oakland Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin on with him for the entire first hour of Outkick the Coverage on Fox Sports Radio on Thursday morning.  No, it’s not just coach speak – he talks about the name Joey Freshwater, talks about who would win between the best USC teams under Pete Carroll and the best Alabama teams under Nick Saban and more.  Great interview.

What You Should Watch This Weekend:

The Final Four!  Of course.  South Carolina vs Gonzaga is at 5:09pm CT Saturday night, and North Carolina vs Oregon follows 30 minutes after the end of that game.  Watch it on CBS, or online here: www.ncaa.com/march-madness-live

Gary Segars

Gary began his first website in 1998 as a sophomore in high school, writing reviews of cds and live shows in the Memphis area. He became editor of his college newspaper, then moved towards a career in music. He started the infamous MemphisTider.com blog during the 2006 football season, and was lucky enough to get into blogging just before the coaching search that landed Nick Saban at Alabama. The month and a half long coaching search netted his site, which was known for tracking airplanes, over 1 million hits in less than 90 days. The website introduced Gary to tons of new friends, including Nico and Todd, who had just started the site RollBamaRoll.com.After diving into more than just Alabama news, Gary started up his first installment of WinningCuresEverything.com in 2012. After keeping the site quiet for a while, it was started back up in April 2016. Gary then joined forces with high school friend Chris Giannini and began a podcast during the 2016 football season that runs at least 2 times a week, focusing on college football, NFL football, and sports wagering, and diving into other sports and pop-culture topics.E-mail: gary@winningcureseverything.com Twitter: @GaryWCE
